I’ve been doing triathlons for almost three years. I started in a beginner squad with a mountain bike and no previous cycling of running training. I began initially to meet new people, stay fit & for a new challenge. My competitive spirit quickly took over and I started training more & more to improve & keep up with the squad.
I enjoy the variety the sport & training has to offer as we travel to many beautiful places near Geelong and around Australia & the world. Highlights of my racing include: Age Group Bronze medallist and world champion sprint distance, 2 time national and 2 time silver medallist age group champion in sprint & olympic distance. Kate is a Level 1 Development Triathlon Coach and is now coaching full time.

Public Groups / Public Training
In Geelong, there are a range of different public squads and independant training groups covering swimming, cycling and running. These groups more often than not have regular meeting times and usually welcome new people to come along and join in and most are free of charge except for maybe a pool entry fee. Below we have listed some of the venue's where contacts are available to the general public and we have also tried to provide guide of what you can expect. Please Note; many of the groups that meet at local center's etc are members of the public that organize to meet at regular times each week at venue's and most are not formerly coached or insured, so you participate in these at your own risk. The Geelong Triathlon Club accepts no responsibility for accidents occurred at any non coached or non insured club related sessions.
